We are taught from a young age that addition is critical to success. That by adding things to our life, we will move closer to becoming fulfilled and happy. In following this, we do quite the opposite. We distribute our time and energy across countless priorities, and in doing so, forgetting what really matters to us. Diluting the very essence of our lives.
When we look to first subtract commitments and habits from our lives, we rediscover what we truly value. And by subtracting, we can reassess the validity of the practices we once esteemed so highly. In doing this, at minimum, we will come to appreciate the day-to-day more. At best, it will change everything.
