Relationships are the basis and foundation of progress. Whether in work or personal life, the quality of the relationships we build and maintain become one of the greatest indicators of our overall success at a given target.
Not only do these relationships forge much of how we come to perceive the world, but their compounding impact becomes a vital factor as we move through time; the more trust we have with someone, the greater the responsibility we can place on them (and vice versa).
Acting as individuals—moving swiftly and decisively through problems—may be beneficial in the short run, but strong, trusting relationships are the true underlying foundation of a fulfilling life. Once we can look beyond the immediate payouts of activities and set our sights on the possibilities of long-term investment, a world of opportunity arises and a new sense of connection becomes attainable. Beyond our day-to-day, relationships are the rocks that ground us in tumultuous winds and the buoys that keep us afloat amidst stormy seas.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
