At times, life can seem like a continual uninterrupted process of tasks, thoughts, and troubles. While this can come in the form of overwhelm, it can also exist without being recognized.
We are always looking to solve problems or consume things, and in doing so, we fail to make time in our day to just sit in peace.
“Peace” can be a rather ambiguous and subjective term, but it is someone that we as humans inherently possess. It isn’t something we go out into the world and search for and it isn’t something we try harder to grasp. Peace, in whatever definition we take it to be, is something that can only be found by removing layers and limiting distractions.
Most people have a good sense of when they are most at peace, but the common problem is making time to be in that situation.
Whatever that looks like for each of us, it is vitally important to maintain the right course of action we want our lives to take, and it can help tremendously to ground us when life’s unexpected events shake us.
Focus on really defining when you feel the most mentally clear and aware, and make time in your schedule to do those activities. Not only will doing this bring more presence and awareness to your everyday life, but it will help to keep your eyes fixated on your own personal north star.
