Finding Your Place of Peace

“Peace” can be a rather ambiguous and subjective term, but it is someone that we as humans inherently possess. It isn’t something we go out into the world and search for and it isn’t something we try harder to grasp. Peace, in whatever definition we take it to be, is something that can only be found by removing layers and limiting distractions.

Stepping Aside

“Worry, over-analyzing, and dictating decisions can create significant negative outcomes in our lives. To make it even worse, the time we spend trying to solve those problems typically doesn’t give us benefit in the present moment or later in the future. In many instances we are worse off after trying to settle something quickly than if we had waited.”

Breaking the Mold

“To restrain from causing pain and suffering is without question virtuous and righteous, but to hold back from behaviours that don’t fall into that category is simply unnatural. They are just as much a part of the human experience as the publicized and mimicked qualities we see at every street corner and on every magazine cover. Intrinsically, no better or no worse. Just different.”

Making Time for What Matters

“Life is a continual process of changing and adapting in an attempt to find an optimal balance. “What Matters” is a subjective answer, and there really isn’t a right or wrong answer to it. The beauty of life is that each person, each individual gets to decide what matters to them, and how they want to spend their time.”

Embrace the Unknown

“Without a doubt, certainty offers far more comfort as we trek through our daunting lives. But before deeming if that’s a good or bad thing, we should first look at what it is that we truly desire; what it is that our hearts are yearning for.”
